'MeadowLocalStream started with a simple dream: to bring true Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Bennett family in 1986, our pizzeria began as a small, family-run spot with recipes passed down through generations.
Oliver Bennett, our founder, learned the craft of pizza-making while journeying across Italy, apprenticing with master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of pizza. Returning to the UK, she aimed to recreate the magic of authentic Italian pizza using time-honored methods and premier ingredients.
What began as a modest 12-seat pizzeria has blossomed into a cherished local institution, yet our commitment to quality and authenticity remains unchanged. We still use traditional wood-fired oven techniques, prepare dough fresh daily, and source top-quality ingredients wherever possible.
Today, 'MeadowLocalStream remains family-owned and -operated, with the second generation of the Bennett family guiding our devoted team. While we’ve embraced some modern ideas, the core of our business stays the same: crafting delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
